Guy, I don't know any track editors so I can't recommend any. I've done what @DoughnutANZ says, I've used a text editor. They will work for files in the gpx format and also for kml ones. They can't be used directly for files in the kmz format...
GPX is a text file using an XML format.
Any good text editor will handle the file. An editor like droidedit on an Android phone or notepad++ on a PC works for me.
