We are on our 8th camino this year and this was by far the least supported. We prefer quieter, less travelled walks but we were caught out several times at the start of May on this walk. One night we ate 2 slices of left over pizza that we had carried in our bags for 2 days, just in case. And...
Very little was open when we walked there in May, 2022 apart from in the biggest towns. Our biggest problem though was where to get drinks since many of the water fountains and vending machines were not working and bars and cafes, if they existed, were shut! But the spring flowers were amazing!
We absolutely loved this walk 2 years ago, in May but the infrastructure: bars, toilets, water, shops to buy food was sadly very lacking. We experienced several days where we could not find any food or water!
No need to store milk. Plenty of cafes along the way and small shops. In fact I generally only carry fruit and trail mix along with water when I walk caminos.
I am planning to do the Camino Ingles with a friend in October. A well known baggage transfer company has told me that if we want them to transfer our bags, the Albergue/ stage and baggage transfers must all be booked in advance. Has anybody tried to do this walk more spontaneously and book the...
When do you hope to do the Ingles Romika? I am planning to do it in October with some friends. I would be willing to help as I'm sure would some others but the Camino Frances is probably more suitable I agree.
