Castro Dozon closed
With the municipal albergue at Castro Dozon now closed can anyone help me plan to move from Cea. If I go to Oseira it is only 8 kilometers but to go to Alaxe it becomes 33kilometers from Cea. Does anybody have ideas on accommodation after Cea?- Hugh McMullan

Has anybody stayed in La Font de la Figuera in the last couple of months?
I stayed there late June 2018 and the shower was fine!! The matresses however had not changed judging by your photo so I slept on one of them on the kitchen floor rather than risk slipping over on the concrete inlay!!! Plenty of toilet paper and very clean inside so something had been done Hugh- Hugh McMullan

Has anyone walked the VDLP recently?
My daughter brother and myself walked the VDLP in June/July and created a blog with lots of photos and comments. It's called vdll.liveblog.com. I hope it conveys how special this camino is!!- Hugh McMullan

Lots of traffic on the Norte in May 2010?
I am just starting in Bilbao today 20th May. The hospetelero says 8 pilgrims are walking today that she knows of but will keep you informed as I start tomorrow H- Hugh McMullan

Walking without preparation and guidebooks, can you do it?
:) I walked the Via de la Plata in 2008 and like you had no idea what to expect! The yellow arrows take some getting used to and with long distances between villages we landed in pueblos in siesta time a lot . In the smaller villages only usually one shop so stock up early. Also nothing happens...- Hugh McMullan
