That reminds me of the newest REI backpacking product, "Dehydrated water" , no weight and no space taken, just add a bit of hydrogen and some oxygen and whala , water!

Just had a look at the properties of methane. Less dense than air and therefore another possible lifting gas. On routes like the Primitivo where there is frequent access to fabada asturiana and sidra natural it might be a useful alternative...

I think that ship sailed long ago. Personally I'm not much concerned about the 'authenticity' of a particular route. My own understanding of pilgrimage is focussed much more on the destination than the route. So for me any route which leads a... -

Check out cycling-rentals. At €330 for a two week MTB rental, they might have one of the better rates out there. I’ve dealt with them a couple times and have been pleased with my interactions with Didi here in the States.
