    Definitely. They stay drier when needed and also breathe. I wore gortex mid-rise boots until late June.

    I had some real Camino veterans show me how to properly use poles. They actually increase my speed by about 10%. But like you I see most people carrying them out in front. Check videos! They are hugely beneficial for hills.

    Microfiber Bath Towel or something else? (How to get dry)

    I have an oversized microfibre towel I got at a REÍ type store. It dries me well and dries itself quickly. Because it is a nice size it feels like a comfort item and weighs very little.
