I just completed the San Salvador and Primitivo. I had a poncho, but also packed my goretex pants and jacket, which I thought was overpacking at the time. I am glad I had them because I experienced rain every day but two with temps around 7 and winds most days. The gotetex allowed an extra layer...- karl.worley

I am flying into/out of Madrid. The hotel I am staying at in Madrid before flying out was happy to hold my bag for free…they even gave me a cookie before leaving for the train station!- karl.worley

I worry about the dogs as well. I had one chase me around town a few years ago while walking el dragonte. Good news is it never bit me and helped me get off track and add 10 more km to my day!! Everyone I have spoken with has said as long as you keep cool, back up and give more room between you...- karl.worley

Safety on the Salvador
I downloaded it and moved it to a file I could reference on my phone. There is also a Wise Pilgrim App that you can download the maps to use offline while there. I begin the Salvador on the 18th, so I look forward to hearing how great it was for you!! Buen Camino- karl.worley

Just finished Porto-Santiago. With a bit of searching, albergues aren't a problem. You could easily start in Spain and have a great 7 days.- karl.worley

LIVE from the Camino Just cleared customs in Paris from the US
I have the health pass (email address available through googling but the French embassy tweeted a link) but no one has asked for it yet. Flew into Orly today and staying in Paris. Wondering if it will be required for the train tomorrow?- karl.worley
