I’m sure the discussion between Vegemite and Marmite will continue but as for me I’m in Larrasoaña now after crossing the Pyrenees with my two plastic tubs of Marmite!

The Marmite we get in Aus is not the same as that in the UK and (tongue in cheek) it’s a bit taboo to say you like it over Vegemite :)

Yes I agree, and the choice is ours to make. I'm not here to discuss that. My hope is to provide vegetarians with information to enable them to walk the Camino as a vegetarian and to show them how easily I did it.

My blog is about how to be vegetarian on the Camino, not how to be non-vegetarian off the Camino.
However the same principles would apply off the Camino. We cooked our own meals and it was easy.
Personally I would rather let go of my hunger than my principles, after all Ahimsa is the highest...
