I'm arriving in Sarria tonight. Tomorrow I'll get my credential and start to walk.
I'm with my dad, who's 70 and I'm gonna follow his walk. I guess we won't walk as I did in 2014 (30km/day).
Plans are to walk in 6 days. Will try to do it on 5.
Anyone around here?
Hello there SiobhanGalway...
In 2014 I walked from León to Santiago in 12 days. It's a very nice walk and many times I walked away from the roads.
I'd suggest two options:
You can fly to León from Ireland but not directly, so it'd be better fly to Madrid and from there get a train to Sarria...
Hi everyone.
As I told before here in the forum, I'll be walking the Camino with my dad next march. We leave Brazil on the 15th and I guess we'll be starting to walk already on the 17th. Our flight back is on 25th.
As I also told here, my old man is 70 and my plan is to walk about 20km/day...
Hello everyone.
As I've told, I'm walking with my dad next march and I want to buy our tickets this weekend (they are on sale!).
I guess I'll be arriving in Madrid 13:15 on march 16th.
What would you say the best way to go to Sarria is?
1 - Fly to SDC and from there get a taxi to Sarria.
2 -...
Hi there my dears.
I walked part of the Camino (from León to SDPC) last year. When I got home e told my family how delighted I was, my dad confided me that he always dreamed about doing the same walk. I promised to go back with him some day. The plans were to walk in 2015 but it was not...
There is a word in Portuguese called "saudade". It means when you, for example, want to see an old friend, your daughter, a girlfriend, a place or even a party. There is no word and other languages so embracing like this.
In English, the nearest you get is the word "missing". When I lived in...
Well, my information is not usefull for you right now, but it may help others.
I started in León and walked to SDC in 12 days. In my first day a made a mistake and walked too long way to Hospital de Orbigo, mas it was possible to walk to Villar de Mazariffe and in the next day walk to Astorga...
Anemone del Camino, if I'm not wrong, it was in the way between Astorga and Foncebadón.
WldWil, I had a GoPro Hero 3 on a stick that I pinned on clothing.
Peter Aulbury, I've been "Camino sick" since I came home. hehe
I walked from León to Santiago last november. Lat me tell you something: in the first day don't walk until Hospital de Órbigo like I did! Walk 'till Villar de Mazarife and hold on there. I so excited that walked more than I should. Was not a good idea.
DurhamParish and WldWil, sorry for the time to answer you. I walked the from León to Santiago in 12 days.
