Imagine living close to Spain and being able to walk a camino whenever you like...

I actually believe he is right about the Koreans. I walked from Astorga this year in February and was surprised how many Koreans I met. PS. I am a "fake" Korean myself

LIVE from the Camino Winter Walking: My Journey Along the Camino Francés

Hi Jeremy Just saw your post! I am in another world with crazy wind… first day rain more or less all day, second in winter wonder snow land. I couldn’t comment on your site, but you can see photos from my days on Instagram: traveler_by_nature. Buen Camino 🇩👣👣👣

    Storage in Albergues?

I know… I have walked a few caminos and to be honest I have been a little casual with my valuables, not so much when I went out, but when I went to the bathroom or to another room etc. Which means I have let my phone to charge…or even money and credit card somewhere in my bag or the bed when...

    Storage in Albergues?

Hehehe... on my caminos I usually would take my valuables to the shower and toilet... in the beginning... luckily I haven't had bad experiences so far, but to be honest I have mostly been staying in smaller villages.

    Storage in Albergues?

I agree with Molly, it is common to leave things behind and take valuables with you. And even when there are options for storage I often experienced that noone used it.

Best way out of Porto for the central route

I arrived late in the evening March 2022, so stayed in a hotel near the airport and walked 400 m to the central route :) PS. I walked coastal/literal in May 2019

I agree completely… when I suffer from swollen feet it is crucial, and even put my feet up in the sink or use ice in the evening. And if it hurts I know it is because I really need - and I believe you can prevent inflammation.

    Primitivo around August 19

If you feel adventurous you can either book 1-3 days ahead or just go… and then decide later if you feel you “have” to. Actually it depends on how you feel about not knowing where to sleep and that you might have to walk extra x km… but it will probably be hot, hot, hot! And other things can...

    Primitivo around August 19

I have only walked Primitivo once - 2019 September. This year might be even more difficult to predict than usually… How many days do you plan to walk? In reality it depends on how flexible you are… which means be open for alternative accommodation like a floor, private, maybe even outdoor…...

LIVE from the Camino Don't forget the curfew!

Well, when you are hosting people commercially, there are rules applied. And to be honest I wouldn’t think about asking, but take for granted that general rules/laws where followed for a place with public access. There could be a variety of reasons why people would be able to get out. And...

Problems booking accommodation ahead of Camino walk

Hi Breda, It’s early to book for September, and booking.com haven’t taken over. I will suggest that you email the accommodation or call. Sometimes the places want your card info, sometimes they ask you to confirm a few days before arrival, sometimes they ask you to book closer to the arrival...

LIVE from the Camino Don't forget the curfew!

In most countries it would be illegal and would be heavily fined. If it really is the case, I believe it‘s irresponsible to leave it as personal responsibility and comfort level.
