Hi, I've not yet walked the Del Norte but hopefully will be the next one when we have the time. On previous trips we used the Camino Ninja app which worked very well. It has the trail on the map and will give a live GPS location. Although, the signposting is usually very good on the Spanish...- LouisW

An interesting thread. I think it boils down to weather and economics as to why long-distance pilgrimage routes are unlikely (although not impossible) in the UK. Perhaps shorter routes, such as to Canterbury could be developed and promoted. There are still many popular long-distance... -
What is between Sarria and Santiago? And Muxia?
Muxia has a bit more laid back atmosphere compared with Fisterra but there are still plenty of nice restaurants and places to explore. I also liked the small village Lires on the route from Fisterra.- LouisW

Best way out of Porto for the central route
We took this route last year as well and it was a nice walk out of Porto. Seems like the best of both worlds of the coastal and central routes.- LouisW

Hi Mikel, yes I noticed that the locals tend to arrive much later for dinner. I was just referring to the earliest times that restaurants/bars typically open for evening meals.- LouisW

I do enjoy having the second breakfasts particularly if it is just toast and juice for the first one. On the Frances Camino we usually had a tortilla and coffee after walking 2-3 hours but got a bit sick of them towards the end. Hi Alex, you may find it helpful to have a look on the 'Holiday Weather' website for the climate averages for these months. I think it will depend on what you are used to really.
