    I've taken the train from Santiago to Madrid twice after my Camino but that was in October, 2011 and October, 2016. I went to the train station the day before my departure and purchased my ticket. No prior reservation. No problem whatsoever.

    in I took the bus from Ponferrada to Lugo in 2011, spent the night in Lugo then took the bus from Lugo to Triacastela the following day to resume my walk on the Camino Frances.

    Hi John, I've had surgery (Arthroscopic) on both of my knees. Torn meniscus. But, I walked almost 25 kms a day from Roncesvalles to Santiago. I wore knee supports all throughout and they worked. for 29 days. But I was able to overcome it with the knee supports, ointment and rest every afternoon...

    Walked the El Camino alone

    I walked in 2011 from Roncesvalles to Santiago. Half the way, I walked with a friend. The 2nd half, I walked alone. It was a different feeling walking alone. A much better experience, both spiritually and physically.

    Hi, I'm in Toronto. I've done the Camino Frances (in 2011) but I walked so I can't be of much help to you since you will be biking. But, I was told that there's a fellow who works at Mountain Equipment Coop (at King) who has done the Camino. He might be able to help you. Just a tip.
