How realistic is it to use a 28L Pack?
Yes totally possible in the summer time. You really only need two outfits. (Two shirts and two pants) I suggest leggings for your wife as one of the pants and shorts because it will be hot. I used a small microfiber towel, smaller than a sheet of printer paper. You don't need two pairs of shoes...- minah

Apparently several other people from our "wave" had stomach illnesses soon after we did. I seemed to just immediately react... So maybe it was something in the water or someone had a bug that just made it's way around. All of us are better now though! :)- minah

Shipping cost for the Nikon d50 camera was around 25 euros. Not bad at all-- however even the woman at the post office suggested that we do not ship it without insurance. This tacked on another 50 euro and we decided to just carry it since the price to ship was too high.- minah

Thank you guys for the responses! We are in Burgos now, and the camera store by the cathedral "Telefoto Azul" was very helpful but did not offer the battery type for the Nikon d50. We will check the Nikon EU website as you suggested and hopefully find something in Leon. If not I believe we'll...- minah

My partner and I got bit somewhere in Estella. We stayed here two nights at both albergues (the one at the entrance and the one at the exit the following night).
