Thanks, Nick (yet again) for the heads--ups and the fantastic descriptions. A good walk for us today to Prizzi. Even with the kick-ass ascents, it felt like a piece of cake after the mud into Corleone. Almost a dozen pilgrims tonight at...
Day 4-
Today was a tourist/rest day in Pueblo de Sanabria. I'm glad we took some forum advice to allow the extra day. We had a bit of sunshine the first half of the day for visiting the castle, which was extremely nice and interesting, with some...
From what pilgrims report as they come into Santiago, the Inglés is getting busier now, even in April, and by May it should have more walkers. So you won't be too isolated or alone.
I walked the Inglés solo in July 2017. It was quieter back...

Day 0? I’m here 😊and I start my slow coastal camino tomorrow! Feel blessed and recognize the privilege it is to be able to take this journey. Tomorrow a short walk to Matosinhos - just right for a walk in the rain! Am looking forward to being...

A dawn descent from Campofranco plunges me into the fog for the first time on this cammino. The rocky massifs on my right are almost close enough to touch, but I can barely make them out. Forty-five minutes...
The thing that I struggled with a bit on my days 3-5 wasn’t monotony, but what I’ve been calling ‘a lack of connection to the land’. The scenery was pleasant enough but I felt I could have been anywhere and that there wasn’t anything that...
Downtown Dublin is an inexpensive 40 minute bus ride from the airport. The security check upon returning to the airport is never that long, either. This means you can have at least five hours to explore a great small city! Personally, I’d pay a...
