    Hola! What I use is a transit bag. Your rucksack fits inside the transit bag, which protects it from damage. It depends on what transit bag you get. Some are cheapy and some are wonderfully strong. I've used this transit bag many times and it never lets me down. Here's the one I use...

    That's great! Personally for me i've never used walking sticks when walking long distances, so never really had thought about using them. Although this will be the longest walk i've done. So maybe I should consider sticks..? I'll come to a decision pretty soon considering I'm walking in 22 days...

    If you can, I'd say head off the trail if possible and find yourself a camping area. Sleeping outside under the stars all adds to the adventure. Just respect the land and leave it as you found it :)
