terrain of Camino del Norte
Yes the Del Norte is difficult the first couple of days. People are Not exaggerating when they tell you that. But it is so beautiful. It was worth the pain. If you cannot do the ups and downs, try starting at Bilbao. That way you can see the beaches and mountains the rest of the way. Buen...- peha

Hiking sandals or hiking boots?
Loved the sandals. Hiked from San Sébastien to Santiago. No blisters. If I got wet, no problems with wet socks. Keen was first choice then Luna sandals for easier days. Very light weight in back pack. Best Wishes.- peha

Thank you Camino Angel
When I couldn't take another step after the 1st 2 days of the Norte. My Angel was a wonderful family walking together. The dad would take all their back packs to their next destination each morning. Then he ran back to meet them on the camino everyday. ( Marathon runner). He took me to my next...- peha

Camino hunger
Most all brkf are only carbs, maybe a little cheese. Then lunch is eggs with a whole lot of carbs (bread) Not a lot of vegetables. A lot of potatoes and a lot of terrific breads. Great wine. Terrific coffee. We often shopped at grocery stores.- peha

LIVE from the Camino On Camino Del Norte , Shoes starting to disintegrate.
Luna sandals or Keen hiking/walking water sandals. Absolute best choice no blisters, no pressure point pain. Never wore shoes on the Norte. Great for wide feet.- peha
