As I recall, the more current practice is to issue ten vouchers to the Pilgrim Office which are given to the first ten pilgrims claiming Compostelas each day. These can be redeemed for the meal at the albergue.

Hello... are they still doing the free lunch for the first 10 pilgrims arriving at the Pilgrim Office? The quiet of February might be my only chance to be in the top 10. I'm on the CP. It looks like the Pilgrim Office only island at 10am in winter
