Maybe we can all plan to meet up? Hopeing to hear from anyone!!
Hi Laurie, FatmaG, AJ, and Rebekah
Just wanted to say thanks for your replies and compassionate notes. Yes FatmaG those things do need space to heal and I agree with all you said Laurie- thanks to both of you... amazing how one can feel support through a forum-ha!
I am off to Peru in a few...
Thanks Ranther and all
Your info was very helpful..this forum is so so responsive. Off to the airport for a quick trip to Peru and then will finalize planning.
Have a nice day!
Susan
Thanks Laurie
Is good to hear others have done this alone and that you enjoyed it! Perhaps I should clarify..ha roads are very often not pleasant... just an alternative if needed. Took a drive and day hiked in the Picos years ago and remember even the roadways had tremendous views! These routes...
Thanks Rebekah
I have received rather differing views so am a little unsure about which route to take ie Frances vs El Salvador and Primativo...then would want to walk on to Finest... One person said if the Salvador is clear then no problem with the Primativo...... Do you agree?
I would imagine...
Anyone traveling around April 4, 2011 Pamplona-Roncesvalle to SJPP? I have sent an email to the transport company for a quote but obviously cheaper if sharing expenses of a taxi.
I'll be travelling from Madrid 4 April 1045 bus to Pamplona, arriving 1515.I looked at the ALSA website...
Love the images, music, Rumi quotes, and artistic wisdom...beautiful! How creative and perfectly soulful!
A fellow wanderer- peace on your evolving journey!
Susan

Think you'll really enjoy the Osprey. The suspension feels great and I had no problem with the waist band although certainly it is not as padded as some I have had in the past. Think it really depends on how much weight you are carrying and of course if the torso size is correct...
Hi Terry
Thanks for your valuable insights and the links. I will be walking alone and think with the info I've just read (the idea of the routes being closed to snow) that perhaps this is one left for another time with friends or later in the season. I am looking at starting a new job in Italy...
Thanks Sharni
I want to start in St. Jean Pied de Port--that odd desire to cross the Pyrennes and will stay in Orisson the first night if choosing this route. Takes me back to my old reading of Paulo Cohelo " the Pilgrimage". My ticket will have be arriving in Madrid most likely as I will go to...
Hi Sabine
Yes it is all becoming real! Ha I am also slow-feel no need to rush and also had a very bad arm injury which affected my back and lifting ability so will be taking it easy with a backpack. Would be fun to meet up and learn some of your lovely language. Took a look at your blog and...
Matt
Thanks so much for sharing your trip with the documentary! I leave for the Camino in just a month and am seeing really what a fantastic time you had with new friends and places. Still deciding which Camino to go on but the Frances through your lens looks wonderful ! Buen camino for whatever...
Hi Sharni
Seems we both may be online at the moment. Yes if I decide to travel this way I'll look for the Aussie accent. I'll be sporting a southern slang from North America ( southern US in Atlanta) mixed in with my butchering of Spanish. Hoping it will return as I lived in southern Spain...
