On the leg Vidago-Chaves while going uphill in the pine forest the road is forking and there's an yellow arrow pointing left - do not take that direction, go to the right even if there's no arrow ... it will appear after a while
In two places I've seen arrows painted in wrong directon more to...
Yah this is not a perfect time of the year to go onCamino Interior - too hot :( 4 climbs and 4 descents per day were hard enough even in September considering that I did 3 times 40 km per day on my Camino .. hold on and Bom Camino!
as it happened - I did Portuguese Interior last September - that was an experience:)) I wouldto like say if it wasn't for Portuguese people I've met and asked for right direction.. I'd have added to my Camino walking God knows how many extra kms (I do speak Portuguese fluently BTW)
I'm just back from CaminoPortuguese Interior - 12 days, 10 of them was walking alone... the moment I stepped into Santiago de Compostella's plaza de Obradoiro I felt that I want to be back there in the mountains, well, after 5 days got used thet the path is almost always climbs up, no road...
If you have decided to go- go, if you have time to change cotton to something quick drying and light - do that, apart of that - put your boots on the road and remember the feeling but don't forget it is the road so it has its demands..
Buen Camino
I did my first Camino last year in May - Camino Portugues da Costa - it's just awesome feeling - when you get on the road, your trekking boots were waiting for this moment for so long :) been alone on the way just for the first two days then two amazing companions joined me or i had joined them...
keep the amount to the minimum as low as you can... no stove no cosmetics - forget about this except some mosturizer :))
but don't forget the light-weight sleeping bag and poncho when it rains - very usefuul belive me !
