    A new take on shoes

I walked the CF with On-Running shoes the entire way. Super comfortable, great fit (I know that's personal), great support, no blisters and they dried really fast after rain. I have a new pair that I wear now for all my long walks and hikes. It would be great if they converted all their shoes!

    Trail Runners I'm Looking at

I've done 2 Caminos in On Running shoes (a discontinued model, unfortunately). I love them! Super comfortable, durable, quick-drying. The concept of the tread is great. Highly recommend.

    Bus from Madrid to Burgos

We are flying into Madrid for our Meseta walk next week. It sounds like the bus is the best way to get to Burgos. My question is should we make reservations or can we count on getting 2 seats on whichever bus is at the best time depending on flight issues, etc? Can’t wait to be walking again...

    Struggling with sock choice

I also recommend Darn Tough socks. I used 2 pair on the CF last year. They felt great and I had not-one-blister. Plus they have a lifetime guarantee - return a pair with hole or rip, etc. (which is very unlikely) and get a new one!

    Las Huelgas

Hi Lucyk, Thanks for your reply. From all I can ascertain the codex is still housed on site. I tried contacting them at the link you posted last year but never received a reply. It is the national site, not the local Las Huelgas one. I can't seem to find any contact info for the monastery. I...

    Las Huelgas

Thanks David. I am a music history professor and have done this for libraries in the US. I’m wondering if there is a way to find out whom to contact at the monastery before we arrive to expedite the arrangements. Any ideas? Thanks again, Steven

    Las Huelgas

Can anyone point me in the right direction for getting information about visiting the Las Huelgas Monastery outside of Burgos? When we were there last year there was a huge festival, which was fun, but I'd really like to be able to go inside and, if possible, view a music manuscript (Las Huelgas...

good hotel to stay in St. Jean

My wife and I stayed at Maison Donamaria and loved it. A short walk from the town center. Quiet and with the nicest, sweetest owner.
