Lost & Found Take care of your gear!

I’ve got a habit that I’ve learnt from doing the Camino is that when ever I leave a place or a seat I alway look back and make sure I don’t leave nothing behind.

Over in Melbourne we have had a nice summer only a few days in forties, mostly mid twenties. Perfect just what I like.

Looking for recommendations for pilgrim friendly accommodation in Barcelona.

Hello Sydney Peregrinos. We always stay at Gaudi Hotel, last June they stored my hiking gear for seven weeks while we toured Spain and Portugal free of charge.

Pilgrims from Australia and the wonderful New Zealand

Hi from Melbourne, I’ve walked three Camino Frances and can’t wait till my next one in 2025. There’s nothing like it back home, no albergue’s every 5 km, no great cheap wine and when I’m over there I don’t have to keep swatting flies all day long.

    Final 40km?

Hello SallGar. Back in 2018. My wife and I got as far as Castrojeriz before having to call it off due to requiring a Knee replacement. I completed the Frances this year but it’s always been on my mind to go back and complete it one day. Hopefully 2025 will be the year.

Please cancel bookings that are not needed

Hello Margogram. As I am getting older and slower I have pre booked most of my accommodations, rearranging my stages I’ve had to cancel some bookings making sure to cancel the booking before I rebooked else where. Some albergue’s are making you pay 50% upfront and the rest on the day, some...

    Challenge with accommodations

A I was the same back six years ago on my first Camino I only had Orrison booked , I do have to admit that I was a lot younger and faster. Most days we were first at the municipal Albergue, these days I’m not as fast and have pre booked most of my accommodations.

Hi anhaler. I use the same type of hat, mine is a Redrock hat, it has great ventilation through the top mesh.
