I agree with Trecile....I doubt he was on the River/Coastal out of Porto. See Link. I recommend you walk the Blue dotted line on the map...skip the green dotted line on the map. The Blue dotted line is 99% off of the street...some sidewalks but mostly urban walking paths, beach paths, etc...

On Sunday March 26th...it was quick and efficient with no lines late in the day...I went thru about 30 minutes before closing. Lots of pilgrims in the square that day...but I think most attempt to claim their Compostella earlier in the day when I heard lines were longer.
Porto is a worldclass city with a modern airport. I flew British Airways Portland>>>Heathrow>>>Porto a few weeks ago and Porto was a super easy airport to fly thru...I think I was on public transport 20-25 minutes after touchdown. If plans are to start in Lisbon, that is also a great airport...
Good question! I have owned 7 pairs of Hoka's and live in a wet climate so qualified to answer. I use Stinsons when it is dry...but find them a bit slippery on wet rocks or wet concrete due to the non vibram sole. For wet weather...I use the Speedgoat 4 Goretex which has the vibram sole and...
I walk in Hoka One One trail runners....Speedgoat 4's with Goretex in winter/rainy season (rainy Portland, Oregon) and the non Gore Tex versions when it is warmer/dryer. Lots of foot problems until I switched to Hoka's a couple of years back....now I never have any more foot worries or issues...
