Hello! My name is Tom, I'm 63, looking forward to walking my Camino in April-May 2019 just after my retirement date. I live in far northern California, am single, have two grown childen. I first heard of the Camino when a very good friend and his wife walked it in 2005 following the tragic death of a child. It was a phenomenal experience for them. Along the way they spent several days walking with a man who was very interested in listening to their story as they walked. That man turned out to be Martin Sheen, doing his research for the movie. I saw the movie and have been interested in "taking this stroll" at some point. I'm really happy that the factors have lined up to make it happen. The Camino comes at a moment in my life full of major changes and of course the accompanying fears, hopes, anxieties, dislocations.
