Cafe Julia

I've read in some forums that casa Julia is sometimes closed or food is not available unless booked in advance. I'm going to be stopping there om Monday 1st may before the steep climb to bruma. Anyone know if it will be open and lunch available? Thanks

You will only know for sure if you call them beforehand.
First of May is an official holiday and seeing they mainly cater for workers there might be a big chance it will be closed.

If you have a coffee/early lunch stop at Meson-Museo, just past the turning for the albergue at Presedo, they might know. They are related to the folk at Casa Julia. You could phone from there maybe. Bar Julia seems to open about 11.00 and close at about 15.30 , first time past it was closed, last time it was still just open but clearing up ready to close at around 15.30.
