Molly, perhaps try calling one of the many China bazaar stores in Oviedo. They are open Sundays.
Or you might be able to buy your poles at an Oviedo sporting goods store by phone & they could leave them for you at a pre-arranged location?
Though Grado has 2 sporting goods stores, I think it...
Look at this! My daily walking route in my neighborhood has a recently inaugurated Cruceiro flown over from Spain! Like it’s sister Cruceiro it was sculpted from a single block of granite the new one by Santiago Besada in Galicia. It is quite a sight and the only Cruceiro in the US. Many...
Yes, the RENFE site/app is often maddening. I find that for a few € more you can get a changeable ticket which I could not do on Trainline and lost a full fare once. The app is a good thing to have. The tarjeta dorada IS golden. You can now easily pay with a credit card, if rejected it will...
I always bring stuff back. It is a small unexpected kindness that has always been warmly appreciated. It’s being part of the place and helping in a small way to care for it.
Many blessings to you, have been thinking of you since this was announced. You are embraced by a worldwide community of Peregrinos, may you find comfort and peace. Buen Camino to both of you.
Hi all of you,
My spouse Debby and I just had the privilege of meeting with Xosé. It was a true delight and a high point of my Camino Primitivo! I hope many of us on this forum support his research. The more the merrier/gayer! Graciñas, Xosé for undertaking this work and for your incredible...

Yes, this is a wonderful place with a backyard garden. In all my visits to Santiago, it has never been available, seems they are taking in and doing commercial laundry frequently. Not to worry, there are other places nearby. Just google “lavandería autoservicio” near me.
Peanut M&Ms individual snack packages. But when in Spain a slice of tortilla is heaven! All the different grocery stores sell their version of dark chocolate bars with almonds. It’s no secret why I always gain weight on the Camino.
Chris, this is the lighter version of what you currently own. It’s 1/2 lb lighter. I love mine and 0.5 lb lighter makes a huge difference to me due to multiple and accumulating bony wear and tear and age (waving at 70) sign and symptoms. There are many sales throughout the year. Let us know...
