As a newbie who just returned from walking my first Camino, CP, mostly on Senda Littoral, Coastal and Spiritual Variente, I thought it was so beautiful. I was very lucky, both in weather and number of people walking. There were enough to share some time with but not so many to be annoying at...
I walked the "water and stone path" exactly 2 weeks ago today and it was a clear, sunny day and the path had mostly dried out. With the rain you mention I would just go "slow and steady", make sure you have your poles and take your time. No point rushing....some of the variant had quite slippy...
Back home now from my Camino with very, very mild Plantar Fasciitis (clearing off quickly with ice, stretching and rest) and a mild cold. I knew as soon as I got on the plane with people hacking around me that I would get a cold. It is so difficult to protect yourself from others who insist...
Second day out on the Camino Portuguese, I left my poles on a bench while I was getting my pack sorted. Some man came after me to return them. So sorry, I hope you get them back.
Hi - A wool long sleeve or something long sleeve that won't absorb moisture will be good for evenings, still gets a little chilly. Foggy only one day. I am on the Espiritual Variante right now and still wearing merino T's and zip off pants. Start mornings with a light cover up, my rain jacket...
Hi -On the CP right now, doing mostly Coastal and Senda Littoral......in Vigo this evening. It has been very warm with the exception of first night out of Porto (April 7th). Packed all my rain gear and coats away. I have been walking with merino T-shirt for the past 6 days. Bring sunscreen...
Disgusting, something is seriously wrong with these men. I am glad your daughter is OK, that just makes it worse to have a young person experience that. Really, I am on the Portuguese Coastal route right now and I have experienced such kindness from both men and women. I hate that these...
Agree, they are cowardly. If they were dangerous, they wouldn't give you a warning by pulling it out. I would probably be so mad, I would kick some butt. I have been lifting weights for the past year and am feeling strong. Seriously, though....how pathetic. Don't let it ruin the Camino for...
Not to make light of your situation and Blessings to the fellow pilgrim who helped you along the way. Very scary situation. I am glad you got the help you needed. I have been training with a SmartWatch for the last few weeks to monitor my HR, BP, O2 and measure steps, mileage etc. I have...
I take a few pills myself, Calcium, Krill oil, Tylenol and one prescription med. I am going for 3 weeks so just put them all in one baggy. Much lighter.........360 is sure to be much heavier than...
Yup, what you said! I camp all the time in the summer but I am treating myself with privacy this trip. I am outgoing enough that when I want to mix with other folks, I will.
I just used the soles that came with the boot to measure what part of SF had to be cut. Worked out well but I guess it depends if you have soles you can remove to do that.
I have a story that may give you hope. I have a beautiful Celtic cross that I lost at a dog park during the winter and when things started to melt, I took my dog back to that park and I noticed a sign on the bench describing said necklace with a phone number to contact. Long story short, I got...
