Probably ten years ago on the French Camino, I met two women in a small village and we spent some hours together in very good mood. Then I continued walking and they stayed there for the night. We never met again, What is strange in this story? Only that one of them looked like my hairdresser...

This is absolutely true!!! I also have a lot of "stories" which I can tell hardly anyone....
I have to amit I am sorry for the pulpos. Especially, after seeing them in the boiling orange water. :eek:o_O:( I even left the pulperia... but I returned as I promised my husband to try pulpo in Melide together.
However, we agreed that never again!

Hi Caligal,
You can get one for the Camino from Santiago to Finisterra and then in Muxia the next one for the walk from Finisterre to Muxia. They are colourful.
These two horses were the most memorable for us. They were standing on the rock blocking the narrow path towards Poladura de la Tercia (on San Salvador). Not knowing what to do, we sat on the nearby rocks and started talking to them: "You are so wonderful, smart and clever, you must understand...
A big hug to you, David for your beautiful thoughts.
Yes!!! I (and many of us) know this feeling. I experienced it several times on different Caminos. First, in 2006 in Viana when on my arrival (completely exhausted) a window opened wide and I could hear a wonderful Spanish song. I guess it...
I have seen tics on my Caminos only 3 or 4 times. Luckily we discovered and removed them them on time.
However, Lyme is a real threat everywhere in Europe, I think.
This July I/we saw snakes several times on the first etaps of the Primitivo. Something like this:

I am sure it was NOT a grass snake (almost 2 m long and thick) and the hospitalera told us threre are snakes...
Over 40 °C it is really hot. It is unbearable for those who are not used to it. o_O
Two years ago it was 42 in Irun and I could only walk for one day then changed my plans and took the train to Leon and started walking the San Salvador.
