Hello everyone,
Well yesterday I sent out a message to my husband and children.
Friday May 22 2020 I plan to fly to Paris
May 23 2020 travel by train to St Jean du Port
May 25 2020 start my Camino
July 9 hoping my husband will fly in to meet me in Santiago to celebrate our 27th wedding...
Such an exciting moment entering the Pilgrims office May 28th 2016. It made everything feel so real. I purchased my shell and a lovely volunteer secured it to my pack as I wore it.
Praying to do the same May 25 2020 ❤️👣
6.7 kms in the pouring rain in 4C weather today.
Wearing my Camino Canadian hat, keen sandals and utilizing my Camino walking sticks. Determined to prove my ability and motivation for my return to my worried hubby.
Still haven’t convinced my husband yet.
I’ve decided to continue walking with my Camino sticks and continue to regain strength. Hopefully by showing him my ability and continued determination he’ll accept and agree.
Yesterday I purchased new merino wool underthings, two merino long sleeved...
All day yesterday the urge to book a flight for a May 2020 return was so strong.
Strangely at 2pm a memory popped up on Facebook. It turned out that Jan 8th was the day I booked my flight to Paris for my Camino 4 years ago.
As you all know I dislocated my hips waterskiing a week after returning...
I guess part of my feeling comes from the fact that while I was walking in 2016 I lost my beloved Harrison. Our 9 year Old English Sheepdog to Cancer. I walked with him everyday at home. My last one the morning I left. We didn’t know he was sick even though I took him for a well visit a week...
I’m wondering if any of you on the forum traveled with your dog. I know I saw a few. Would you do it again? Does it pose a problem for train travel....hostels etc.
The Napoleon route is stunningly beautiful however in your condition I wouldn’t do it. Not to scare you but a gentleman with a known heart condition lost his life to his condition steps past Orrison. It was the day before I arrived at Orrison in May 2016. I’m wondering if you want to start...
That was a creepy experience...so happy I met you both that day. I remember stuffing things in the keyhole that night ...worried he held the keys to all the rooms.
Thank you both for being guardian angels that evening and the kind wishes today.
I pleaded with my surgeon to replace both in one surgery. He refused ! Not sure why. I have a feeling the Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis. It made it difficult just finding a surgeon willing to take on my 4 replacement surgeries required.
Happy walking and healing
Buen Camino 👣
Buen Camino friends.
Well tomorrow Feb 16th my right knee will be one year old. The first of many. My right hip followed in July. My left knee in November. On March 7th I'll receive my new Left hip. If you remember I walked the Camino in its entirety in 2016. On week after returning home I...
When I returned home from my 2016 Camino I purchased the hiking umbrella from the Forum Store.
I found the lack of shade one of my hardest trials while walking. I was wondering if anyone has tried it.
Does it hold up to the windy situations on the Camino ?
Thank you
