I was booked on American Airlines for April13th to Barcelona. I was surprised when the airline called me at home on April 8th and offered to re-instate my frequent flyer miles and all taxes and fees, which they did.
Warm and welcoming. They washed my clothes at no charge. I felt so cared for, I went back after I finished my Camino and stayed for a week. They then considered me a resident and was served a different menu in a separate "room" beyond a divider. The nuns were very friendly and attentive. I was...
Hi,
I took one and used it some. Should have used it much more. Finished in July and I am still walking like someone from the Ministry of Silly Walks. I will take it on my next Camino and use it more frequently and hope for a better outcome.
I also encountered this man in the the same area, same conversation. I am fluent in Spanish and that is indeed what he was saying. I also started to feel very uncomfortable and just then a group of three pilgrims reached us and I walked off, looking back more freuently than usual. This was in...
Thank you. I did get one from him in 2014. But that is a good idea I will use it as my " official" shell for my pack.
Yes they do take credit cards from America, just let them know that you are making a foreign purchase.
I have just bought tickets for RENFE (Barcelona to Pamplona) and for the ALSA bus from Pamplona to SJPDP for April 19th. There were no problems except with my cc issuer who declined transaction even though I had alerted them. But after a second try everything went smoothly. YaY, for my fifth Camino!
I took an earlier version of this one

Hi,
I hopscotched the Camino from Lisbon to SdC in Hoka 11 Stinson ATR's. I loved them, no problem with feet, knee ,however, was another matter. I injured my knee on the first day coming back to the hostel from the cathedral, and it thereafter became a--walk til you can't anymore, rest a few...
I will certainly try to help with as much information as possible. I do tend to get distracted and not remember names and places but I will try extra hard this time. And thank you for putting this together it has already helped a great deal in setting a sort of rudimentary itinerary.
Hello Petya-n, Welcome! I will be starting in Lisbon, from Parque das Nacoes youth hostel on Sept. 23. I like to amble, and do about 15 to 20 km per day, so chances are you will catch up to me and probably pass me. Would be happy to walk with you if you do.
After the pilgrim blessing, after mass, the priest took all the pilgrims into a special locked room full of more treasures where he gave us a mini tour. He had everyone say where they were from and gave each of us a prayer card. He really seemed to enjoy interacting with the pilgrims.
