Probably a silly question, but I'm flying in to Santiago next week and have a coach to Ferrol booked from Santiago main bus station. Is this the same bus station that the airport shuttle ( Linea 24) will drop me off at?
I can't remember if there is more than one bus station in SDC . . 🤔
I walked it in September last year and it was OK. You don't say which Camino you are taking though. I walked the Central route, and the Espiritual Variente.
Didn't have a problem with accommodation; I just booked for the following day. It does get busier after Tui as this is a popular start...

True, synthetic footwear doesn't need 'breaking in'; but don't forget to allow for your feet to expand during a day(especially a Camino day!) It's normally a good idea to try/buy footwear late in the day for this reason.
Both. Silk liner weighs pretty much nothing. Carrying a lightweight sleeping bag is a bit like having travel insurance - you don't need it . . Until you do . . 😉
No, can't say I have. I have walked four caminos with a pacemaker/ defib implant though. Back packed worked for me and I carried all my gear. Might be worth giving it a go on a few training walks before you discount totally.
