I hope you have a wonderful Camino. It was a great trip for us. The year we went there was an extreme amount of rain and it was cold. But it was an aberration. I don't think they had ever seen so much rain! We became very familiar with the orange-ish mud and to dry out boots and clothes -...
Just logged in for the first time in a long time and saw your post. I was your fellow “swimmer” that day-we met and were able to give each other a hug at the wine fountain wall. The experience has become part of my camino story! The Way is certainly I place for making memories.
I think there's a bigger lesson -- bring all of yourself that is broken to the camino and it can be fixed!

My husband and I are enjoying a day of rest in Burgos after walking from SJPP. It’s been an amazing experience filled with so many emotions. At a communal dinner a pilgrim talked about the stamps needed for a Compostela and today my husband had time to count spaces in the credential and became...
We ran into the blocked trail into Estella and ended up taking the road and grassy strips and cutting through yards. I wouldn’t consider what we did a recommended solution but we made it.
I was also one of those that was part of the Camino gossip on Sunday. We tried to put some branches down and the concrete pasts were under water. My ninja husband hopped across and I went swimming. Very cold, wet walk to Zubiri! I have recovered and we stayed in a private room that night so I...
