A sensitive question - Availability of laxatives

Best of luck! And yes, potatoes, potatoes, potatoes. Though I have met many a pilgrim who has managed his/her food sensitivities just fine. Buen Camino!

A sensitive question - Availability of laxatives

Yes, they most certainly do. Unfortunately, some of us have to take this--nothing else helps. Some say the constant walking will do it. Not for me. Walked the Frances in 2013 and I wish I had brought my powder!

A sensitive question - Availability of laxatives

In case anyone is following this all these years later, yes, you can find Macrogol in Spanish pharmacies. The brand names would be Casenlax or Sterilpeg (packets).

    Problems with booking Renfe trains

So, if I wait until I arrive at the Madrid airport to book my train to Oviedo, I shouldn't have a problem getting a ticket for that afternoon? And what is the Carta Dorada card? I am definitely over 60!

    Camino Verde trail conditions?

I am thinking of walking the Verde the second week of June. About the monastery in Sobrado: do you think I need to rush to get a bed? Were there many pilgrims? I would hate to get there and find only expensive lodging. Thank you in advance.

    Skirts and wool leggings

Love mine. Used Tinkle Toes (I think that is the name) with my macabi skirts. Perfect.

Continue Primitivo or Finisterre after Covid

I just finished the Primitivo and looked back at my photos. If it were me, I would go back to Fonsagrada and finish the Primitivo. It is still a beautiful route from there and I think you would enjoy meeting up with all the other pilgrims from Melide on (judging from your comment about about...

    The beautiful Primitivo

Was finding food along the way difficult? I was wondering if I should bring small packets of peanut butter like I do when hiking, and just grab some bread in case I cannot find lunch.

Which Camino for both a challenge and the community?

When I walked the CF way back in 2013, I walked alone. I did, however, end up with the most wonderful camino family. The understood my need for walking alone and we met up at the end of the day when we could. We still keep in touch. Whatever camino you decide, enjoy!

    The beautiful Primitivo

Thank you for this. I am beginning the Primitivo on September 7 from Oviedo. I walked the CF in 2013 and am really looking forward to the tranquility of the Primitivo.

    Macabi skirt sizing/slim/usage

I bought a medium in a slim and a regular. The slim is definitely smaller in the waist, not just around the rest of it. So, if your waist is the concern, go with regular. I don't like my clothes tight, so the regular is better for hiking for me. I also do like the spaciousness for making the...

    Macabi skirt sizing/slim/usage

I will be walking the northern route September/October and am debating whether or not to take rain pants and bike shorts to wear when it is raining. Otherwise I have two macabi skirts I am taking. Did you find that you didn't need rain pants since the macabi dries so quickly?

    Macabi skirt sizing/slim/usage

I have both fits, and I like the slim better. Doesn't make me look so round. BTW I am 5'9"-155 lbs
