I highly recommend using Squaremouth to find your best option. Yes, it will cost more in the US, but don't underinsure or go without. Without our travel policy, we would have been out $12,000+ for medical and related costs in Switzerland back in 2019.
To me, it seems like your response is a case of way overthinking the topic. Trecile, in my opinion, was simply offering a light and even fun topic for discussion. I doubt that the topic could or would result in discrmination any more than would a discussion about whether one uses the term...
I used to do a lot of cycling including a number of long, organized charity rides. In the summer, pickle juice was often provided at the rest stops. It basically helps to replace the electrolytes (primarily sodium) that you lose trhough excessive perspiring. That excessive loss of...
Magnesium Glycinate has the reputation of being the form of magnesium most gentle on the digestive system. I take one 240 mg capsule nightly before bed to assist with sleep. I did reduce my dosage from two nightly capsules for the reasons presented by Trecile above. 😊
I have responded to previous similar posts and will do so again here. I have used Squaremouth.com to obtain travel insurance for multiple international trips. They are not an insurer but rather a site that allows you to compare a number of travel insurance companies after entering your...
We stayed at the Axor Feria in 2017 on both ends of our stay. They do have an airport shuttle, a decent restaurant, a bar and nice rooms. An actual large mall is within walking distance if you want to do some shopping. We Ubered to the square, cathedral and palace area for some quick touristy...
Having made the mistake of walking about 8 miles around Prague in jeans about 12 years ago, I would never recommend them to anyone. The chafing was bad enough to send me to my physician when I got back home.
In the two adjacent smaller towns we stayed in in Switzerland (Fluelen and Altdorf in Canton Uri), there were Aldi, Lidl, Migros and Coop. Lidl was in Fluelen, the other three in Altdorf.
Actually, I did not bring an umbrella for my five day hike from Sarria to Santiago. However, it was Galicia, and it did rain 3 of the 5 days, sometimes very heavily. I am not sure what an umbrella would have done that my rain jacket didn't do to keep me dry. During the limited sunshine, I...
$100+ for an umbrella? For that price it should automatically jump out of your pack upon the arrival of the first drop of rain, open itself up and position itself properly in your hand as you had pre-programmed it. :)
We used IMG: ITravelInsured in 2019 and were very happy with the results. They paid my wife's ten day hospital stay in Switzerland, including the ambulance transport, in full. They also paid for our airline change fees, extra lodging for me and extra car rental. The claim was handled in a...
I second the recommendation for Casa Blanco for all the reasons stated above by LavanyLea! Far and away the best place we stayed between Sarria and Santiago.
You can also UBER if you wish. Probably not the most economical method unless you are able to share a ride, but probably less hassle. We used UBER to go downtown from our airport hotel.
I agree with Leukotape. Great stuff as a preventative! Also using a lubricant such as Glide along with good socks and sock liners has worked well for me. I realize some folks do not like sock liners.
