It wasn’t a question of being vaccinated, everyone had to produce a negative test, and again on arrival. I understand a change july 5, Canadá is only accepting certificate I believe from 4 of the vaccines. Best to check the Canadá website,
As u say, things change daily. My friend needed the tests to re enter New Zealand. (September) I just returned from the US , to be allowed on the plane it was necessary to produce a negative test (within 72 hours) going and returning.
As well to remember is that a negative COVID test to get on the plane. My friend has just paid 100€ in Santiago and €160 in Barcelona. This is still a requirement.
I understand that if YOU cancel there is only a credit. If the airlines cancel they will offer you a 2 year credit, if you accept this, there is nothing more, if you say No, then they need to refund your money.
im in Canada, we have the cdn.pilgrim association, who has been in contact with Spain. Apparently no international travellers into Spain until after October. 😢
I was on my own, felt very safe, saw 2 people and 4 bikes,
The whole trip.Walked afew days with one chap, not usuallymore than 2 or 3 people in the albergue if any.
I was in Santiago in October. I understand that in 2018, the pilgrims mass will be moved to another church close by, at noon. (due to renovations inside)
Botomuferio will not be operational.
Interesting comments about santervas de campos. I was the only one staying, had a beautiful menu of the day meal in the pub and had a private screening of the church. We all have different experiences.
The pub also put my fridge stuff in their fridge.
If you want to see people this route may not be for you. I saw 4 bikers and 2 pilgrims in August. I didn’t find the markings to be great.
Any camino is a hit and miss with people. On the Salvador there was 3 or 4 each night, but 3 days later there was 10 and 12. Primitivo amazing.
Frances out...
I too have just finished the Primitivo , about 14 days. Weather has been perfect. Walking more than 28km is too much for me. I climbed over the top. I have had the most amazing weather. One of the best walks, as well as the San Salvador
I totally agree. I have just come from the Primitivo. Prestine. Ladies, how would you feel to have toilet paper with pee covered on your body? Well Mother Earth doesn't like it either. Use a pantyliner and leave the TP at home. The Frances is terrible from melide. The markings defaced, bottles...
