LIVE from the Camino Camino Ignaciano Autumn 2023

I did this in October 2017: the first week (and the hardest walking) the easy way, with Ramblers Worldwide Holidays providing leaders, baggage transfer, and taxis where the accommodation was a few km off-route, and then when they went home I carried on walking. Enjoy!

Paris to Le Puy en Velay

Five days in, I have had two good experiences of acceuil pèlerin with hosts who went over and beyond what I expected, one night in a Monastery where I shared mealtimes with two other guests, and two nights in hotels. It's good, as a solo walker, to have company in the evenings.

Paris to Le Puy en Velay

I'm planning to walk this route beginning on 1 September, and would be interested to hear from anyone who has done this and their experience of the waymarking and "accueil pèlerin".
