    Hi... thinking back I'd typically go up to the bar to order unless it was clear that it was the sort of place where there were plenty of waiting staff etc. Quite often, there are signs to indicate how to order etc.

    Hi .... having walked back from Roncevaux to SJPDP I can confirm that one's sense of pilgrim traffic increases hugely when one is walking the 'wrong way' .... for the impression of solititude etc, then I'd always suggest going with the flow on a popular route!

    Advice on getting to St Jean Pied de Port

    Hi Ellie .... trains to St Jean can be taken from Biarritz and Bayonne stations which will probably be where your train from Paris will be heading to. Other possibilities could be train to Pau and a bus to St Jean from there! Buen camino!!
