Cash or Cards on the Norte route
I walked the Norte recently, tapped with phone almost exclusively. No need for cash in our experience, although agree good idea to carry a little just in case.- Kathrina72

San Sebastian to Bilbao, or Reverse?
Hi, I would also recommend going with the flow of traffic, from San Sebastián to Bilbao. There are a few sections of the track which are single file and it would be annoying having to negotiate these with people coming the opposite way. 1 week on the Norte
Hi, we’re doing Irun/San Sebastian to Bilbao, can cover in a week. We have a mix of pre-booked accommodation and a few nights to wing it eg Deba. We are flying into Biarritz to make our way over to Irun to start and out of Bilbao. The route is quite hilly but with great views by all accounts!- Kathrina72
