Hi yes don't worry, there will be lots of places to stay at short distances. I walked in 2012 and often only did short days. Now there will be even more albergues as its ever more popular.
Buen camino!
So do you take the thread out in the morning and cover it with a guaze dressing? Then do the threading again after walking? I never had any blisters on my caminos thank goodness, but I saw many people who had terrible ones - everyone used the threading method and I was always curious...
Good! Wear them, not the boots! Then your blisters will have a chance to heal. On one of my Caminos I met a girl who was crying from her infected blisters every night. I went with her to buy sandals and she never looked back!
Hi, I've got one you could have, but I'm in the UK. Would it be difficult and expensive to post? And how would you pay me? I'll have to check the size - it may be medium..
You'll have your ups and downs. I remember times feeling terrible, trudging through the rain and mud for instance. Then I met some pilgrims who offered me some chocolate- 'manna from heaven'.
Stick with it. Chat to people. Get in touch with your inner self and your reasons for wanting to do it...
Love your story! You write well.
It does sound very strange with hardly any pilgrims and not much open. I've been through Sarria a few times and it's always been heaving with people!
Good luck with the rest of your Camino. I'll try to find your posts again!
Hi loumura, I was interested to read your post as I have Pmr too. Did you say that you are not taking the steroids? How are you managing? Are you taking anything? I couldn't imagine walking the Camino, I can barely walk down the road some days!
Noo! Don't do that, get your knee better, then go and do the whole thing, that's my advice. Placebo to Molinaseca is one of my favourite bits- so beautiful! Best wishes..
So sorry to hear your story. It sounds like a nightmare! I cant imagine what the experience must have been like for new pilgrims. Such a shame it has come to this.
Ah thanks for this post! I am planning to walk from Logrono to Burgos, just a few days this year as I'm not as fit as I was! I need to have my pack transported but I'm worried that there are not many private albergues on the route, and I can't walk more than about 15k without difficulty. So I...
Thanks, that was a great website and a good idea. I've checked it out and the bus is every 3 hours and not on a Saturday, and not on the Friday evening. So I think I'll get a bus from Villafranca earlier.
