    SJPDP-SDC in 32 days-is this realistic?

Honestly, there are a lot of factors to consider. Luggage transfer? Number of K’s per day? Weather, injury, fatigue, seeing sights… I did the complete trek in 26 days, then went on to Finesterra and Muxia in 31 days total last summer. I had no rest days, so again, it all depends on so many...

    Just starting & Lost already

I used All Trails app the entire Frances to Muxia. No problems.

First timer tips afterwards - blister

I would also like to make clear that you need to cover the blister with a regular or cut to fit flexible adhesive bandaid…before putting the moleskin or plaster on. This way it will allow any liquid to drain/protect the blister, without ripping the entire blister off. Sounds like common sense...

    Weather concerns 6/20-6/22

I just ran into two pilgrims in London, who just finished. They advised gloves, however now that I’m thinking about it (jet lagged of course) they began in May.

    Weather concerns 6/20-6/22

I am starting out on June 20 from SJPP and am concerned about the weather. Rain and lightening…hike through it or what? I’m on a timeline, but want to be safe. Also, I heard I need gloves too for the high passes, Thoughts?

Reading though this thread and thinking…humm I wonder if this will be me? My thoughts are with you. Saw the mention of Gronze as a resource, but I don’t see an app for it. Details on this resource would be awesome!

To check or not check your backpack?

Last summer I travel all over with my “approved” airline backpack that is not designed for hiking trails. I have a larger backpack, which I think would be excessive for the Camino. I truly dislike checking luggage, especially with transfers. Looking for suggestions, since I’m planning on doing...

Seeking full stage itinerary from SJPP to Finisterre

Ah! I love it! Hold my plans lightly…that’s the goal. I’ve enjoyed researching and getting a sense for what/where things may be. I realized last summer my plans changed, based on weather! Too hot in Italy, go to Switzerland. Lodging booked while in route on the train. Thank you for the...

Extra nights - Biarritz or SJPP?

Thank you so much! I think I may do both, since it seems like 50/50 on both! I am not in a huge rush to start straight off the plane 😉 I want to savor the experience, food, culture of it all. I appreciate all you advice!!

    Accommodation prebooking

May I ask how many days you did the complete walk? I can relate to the stress of finding a place, after backpacking all over last summer. It can be stressful. I love the idea of freedom, but I like the idea of knowing it’s one less thing to worry about
