    Last night I learned I snore...

    I went to having private rooms as much as possible, warned people when I couldn't find a private, slept on the floor in common rooms and still had people be awful when - surprised by my snoring. Can't win with some.... Others I hope they develop some compassion.

    Advice needed: Managing a large blister on the heel

    Be really picky about what sandals you get. Make sure you try with your loaded pack and bendy about. If the strap touches the edge of the blister you might be adding to the problem. Get some alcohol from the Albergue first aid and sterilize everything possible.

    From Skagway (near Juneau) I'm on C. Frances right now, and the 25-30 highs for the day, seem to peak around 4-5pm. In any case, the direct sun (starting stage 8 or so), makes me feel like oven baked chicken from 11:30 am on. I wish I had my dessert umbrella! Suggest: long sleeve woven shirt to...

    I would humbly add, get the best earplugs for yourself, personal use. Try them out with a loud movie or in a construction zone. And prepare yourself for some startling encounter. As a snorer myself, I've been shaken awake, had earplugs pelted at me (while sleeping) & given a loud Good Morning...
