Packing List Final Review. Starting in a week! :)

I have in SJPDP, roncesvalles, and Zubiri, hopefully will get a bed in Pamplona, and after that I will evaluate if I make reservations or just hope for the best in the albergues (also depending on my walking speed)

Packing List Final Review. Starting in a week! :)

Thank you! I will try an buy them at decathlon in Bordeaux, which is my last stop before SJPDP. (I would also use them on el salvador; which I read is tough) but I think it's worth the 15 euros investment, so I might as well get them from the beginning.

Packing List Final Review. Starting in a week! :)

Thank you! Yes I realized if I bring "nice" tops, I can wear them as an evening outfit :) so not bringing the extra shirt. And only brining the sarong :) I just ordered a scale on amazon

Hello beautiful community; I’m starting my camino in exactly 7 days (May 8 - June 21 = 45 days) I’ll be doing FRANCES + SALVADOR + PRIMITIVO . Here’s my final packing list (excluding basic toiletries); I would love to check if i’m MISSING some essentials, if I’m bringing EXTRA useless stuff...

    Health Insurance for Mexican Resident

Hi from Yucatan too! I was wondering about your final decision after your research? did you use mapfre? was it the best option in your opinion? it is a bit more expensive than Allianz, or Axa, but it seems like the decision is between Axa and mapfre, so I was wondering which is the one you...

    Weighing Travel Insurance Options

Hi Trecile!! If I remember correctly, were you the one that said that you only showed your policy print when getting into the hospital, and didn't pay anything? I just wanna check once again I found an option from Axa for my trip, it is a bit expensive, (350 USD for 85 days) but GeoBlue is no...

    Am I packing too much?

Yes, this is what I was trying to avoid, adding a new thread (I think there are plenty already with great information, didn't want to repeat over again the same thing), but well, I will do. That's true! I can always turn the pants into shorts, but not the other way around! hahah

    Am I packing too much?

I do not have zip off pants (and won't get them as I already spent too much in shoes, socks and that), they are light cargo pants.

    Am I packing too much?

I was all set on my packing list, but now I'm realizing that it might be too hot to wear hiking pants. (I will walk MAY 8 - JUNE 21. Frances-Salvador-Primitivo) So, questions: 1. I'm planning on bringing, 1 hiking pants, 1 capri leggings, and 1 shorts (shorts and leggings will work as pijamas)...

How many days from Oviedo to Santiago?

Well I'm planning 16 days for the primitivo, after 7 days on El Salvador 😂 I was worried that I wouldn't make it on time but, you give me a lot of hope that I will definitely make it in those days hahaha

Walking the Salvador, starting June 26th

I'm doing El Salvador starting may 30. But I see most albergues only have capacity for 4-12 people, and not a lot of options to book somewhere else, is this capacity enough for the few pilgrims doing this camino? or should I definitely look for booking options ?

    Alternative to Allianz travel insurance

does anyone know if GeoBlue is available for internationals? or just for US citizens ? I find their website not as easy to navigate, and not as easy to get a quote

    Weighing Travel Insurance Options

I see everyone suggesting AXA, all I can find is trips no longer than 45 days; mine will be in total around 90 days, so...AXA is out of question apparently, unless someone has a way around

Need help deciding to bring or not to bring

Yes, I did check the sunrise time, but still, it's not pitch black before sunrise, so 6 am...I think will be doable. Plus, as someone else said: if I'm not sure I will need it or I'm bringing it for "just in case" then don't. So I'm not. If I end up waking up to leave at 4:30 and I can't see...

Need help deciding to bring or not to bring

Need help deciding to bring or not to bring

I'm unlikely to bring any type of knife tools, I'm traveling overseas, so...I will buy tiny scissors at a pharmacy and that's it. No point in investing in a Swiss army tool that I can't bring back home anyway.
