Where to start Norte route - Irun, Bilboa or Santander?
Hi Ria The walk between irun and Bilbao is fab (if rather taxing) and an amazing experience, not to be missed. Also, the refuge at Guemes before Santander, is a highlight for many pilgrims (including me !!). The day out of Santander contains a lot of road walking, as does the walk out of Bilbao...- Lennc

Hostels in Aviles?
Hi Frank The albergue in Aviles is very central, with a courtyard for safe storage of bikes. You will find it fine this time of year since there are lots of beds. If you intend to travel at "peak" season, there could possibly be a problem with a group of your size. This is a friendly hostel and...- Lennc

Want to do the Camino with my Dad - need some advice!
Hi Michael I wouldn't advise going in the "peak" season; mid - late july and early to mid august. The albergues (an alternative accommodation) tend to be very busy during that period. Good Luck !- Lennc
