The two most stupid things I packed: Sony ereader....... Yes I walked the Camino with an ereader and I have not used it once!! The other item was the sunglasses, also never used them.
Take timely breaks, do not stay in albergues in the big towns or classical resting places, but stop earlier or after the big towns. Use merino wool socks and do not wash them. The most important tip: enjoy it, always.
Hi, I am finalizing my preparations for the Camino. I will start my road on 23 july in st JPDP. It will be my first Camino, and youtube and this forum I find a ton of information, but still it is difficult to envision how it will be on the road.

Thank for your advice to come prepared. I do not know if I am prepared enough for this road. Walking the road has been a long tme on my mind, this year it needs to happen. What I will learn and experience I accept humbley and with great thanks. Can i really be prepared for what i will find.....
I will start the walk on 22 juli in st pied walk to pamplona, take the train to leon and then to santiago. I have not teainef, so it will be very hard. But i need to walk it
