Lots of people walking!
It is a wonderful hike. I did it 2016, North to South from Santiago de Cacém to Cabo de Sào Vicente. I think you may have the flag story reversed. They are the castles represented on the Portuguese flag. Historically there have been more than 7. I also visited some of the others at Alcoutim...- aym924

Casa da Fernanda- Lugar de Corgo
I second this post. We stayed at Casa Fernanda in September 6?. Lovely family, providing a wonderful warm atmosphere, brilliant meal and conversation, all for a donation. The new facilities are good. We rang ahead to get a spot, but did not need to as there were only three of us staying. Ashley- aym924
