Please cast a critical eye over my kit list (for a female travelling in August)

Hey there, I walked through July and August last year, and the only time I needed a fleece was in O'Cebriero. It was amazingly warm, and I am an Aussie accustomed to heat. I took a liner, no sleeping bag and didn't regret that decision ever. If you get cool most Alburgues have blankets. I...

wonderful meals along the Camino Frances

The Alburgue in Fonfria has a community meal that included a local soup, then a braised meat meal which was awesome, and a homemade dessert which also hit the apt. Their wine was a typical low budget but ok red.. I was craving veggies and they delivered!!!

Equipment in Summer: sleeping bag vs. Sleep Sheet

Not sure what you mean by a pad, but if you mean a roll mat.. Don't worry.. Unless you plan on sleeping outside you won't need it!

Equipment in Summer: sleeping bag vs. Sleep Sheet

    Cash Passport

I am on the Camino now.. You can check online for fee free cash passport locations in each town you are in.. Each major town at least.. I have not been charged fees using these ATMs on the Camino.. If you get enough for the smaller towns along then you should be fine. S

Pamplona Train Station to Bus Station?

I left the beautiful Roncesvalles Alburgue about 6 days ago.. No booking as mentioned, they have an overflow so you should be ok.. It is currently still light until 10pm.. So you won't be wandering around in the dark!!

    Planning my First Camino

Wow I just bought my Salomon x ultra mid GTX boots today, and I plan to be walking from SJPP in late July 2013.. I have been looking at packs and am trying to decide if I really need a 40l or if I can get away with a 35l - so I was interested in the 33 l - I feel like I need to restrict the...
