    May/June Camino

I'm going to make some assumptions here. 1: You have a smartphone 2: Your parents have smartphones or computer 3: there is free wifi along the northern route Get skype on your smartphone and make your parents install skype on whatever device they're using and call them whenever you find...

45 ltr bag for Del Norte route

Did you walk Camino del Norte or maybe Francés last year? Because I think there's a huge difference right there. I walked camino Francés last year and I didn't bring a sleeping mat and never felt the need of one either. On camino del Norte I think it could be wise to bring one. If I don't need...

45 ltr bag for Del Norte route

This is my exos 46 Large which is a 48 Liter bag. I had to put my sleeping mat inside the bag because I had too much room and even like this I'm going to bring one or two unnecessary items :)

The Camino Is Not For Everyone

Thank you! Before going on my first Camino I thought I was a quitter. I have proved that I'm able to do so much more than I ever thought possible. I started my Camino with another goal in mind but this was what I got out of it and it is much greater than the goal I had in mind :)

The Camino Is Not For Everyone

This might be a long story or of topic what ever. tThis thread seems to have gone somewhat of topic anyways. My story starts 2007 when I read a book by Paulo Coelho, I can't remember which one but it wasn't The Pilgrimage. In the foreword he wrote about the camino and i thought to myself that...

    Camino del Norte April-May

That doesn't sound too bad. I'm more afraid of the rain but then again I had almost three weeks of rain on Francés last year so I think I'll manage.

What is the one Albergue that you would say not to miss

I totally forgot about this one. Albergue de Reliegos de las Matas in Reliegos. I never went in as it was closed when we passed it but from what I've heard it's supposed to be a nice place to stay.

What is the one Albergue that you would say not to miss

Some of these has been mentioned before but they are in my opinion worth mentioning again. Hospital de Peregrinos San Juan Bautista in Grañón. Goes without saying, but this is a lovely alberge (donativo) in a church. San Bol, a good days walk from Burgos. Wonderful albergue. I was the last to...

    Irun or San Sebastian?

I decided on Irun a long time ago, I don't even know why I was thinking of starting in San sebastian as when i first decided on walkin del Norte my mind was set on startin in Irun. I don't think I'm going to stay in Pasajes San Juan as 19km in a day is well, not the pace I am accustomed to on...

    Irun or San Sebastian?

It looks fantastic! I hope the weather will be as good as in the picture. I'm not sure if I'll report anything as I'm not sure how "online" I will be. But if something disturbing comes along I'll try to remember to post it. Ultreia!

    Irun or San Sebastian?

Thanks for the tip! Ok, I'm not there yet but for me, the low route wouldn't be an option. I like a good challenge.

    Irun or San Sebastian?

Thank you for the answer, it's good to hear that I made the right choice. The thing was that when I started planing my trip i didn't know that you could take the train to Irun and when i realized that you could i was a little startled but the decision to start there wasn't that hard. Buen...

    Irun or San Sebastian?

Well, after a bit of contemplating i decided to start in Irun. I realized that if I were to start in San Sebastian I would be quite annoyed with myself :)

    A returning Pilgrim.

Hello, I just wanted to introduce myself a bit. My name is Linus and I'm from Sweden. Last year I did my first Camino. I started in Pamplona on the 20:th of April and ended up in Santiago de Compostela on accention day (It wasn't my plan but it sure was nice in Santiago on accention day)...

    Irun or San Sebastian?

Hello everyone! I'm leaving for camino del norte at the end of April and trying to decide if I should start in Irun or San Sebastian. I'm going to try to complete the camino in about 4 weeks but if necessary I have 5 weeks to do it in (so i have some wiggle room to "wing it"). So basically...
