    Thanks. It's from Cirauqui!

    Spring has sprung?

Talking about Navarra here: trees are all green by mid April, and flowers start appearing already in late February but are at their greatest moment from late March to mid May. These pics are from about 1-2 weeks ago: Specifically with red poppies, here in Navarra where I live they have...

What lens or lenses did you used most if you carried a DSLR or mirrorless camera?

Actually never mind... I wrote that before watching the video; now that I have, there's no useful information for what you want to know (what lens to take); and with you being already a photographer, the rest of the information he gives is already known to you. Can't hurt to watch it anyway and...

What lens or lenses did you used most if you carried a DSLR or mirrorless camera?

Hi. I'm a hospitalero in the Navarra section of the Frances and an advanced amateur photographer. I walked the Camino Primitivo some years ago and took a Nikon DSLR with me, with a 24-85mm f2.8. Maybe it was because it was Winter and it was quite cold and rainy, a d therefore I didn't get a lot...

Comment by 'Juanma' in media 'In the way to Estella'

Yes, it's right out of Cirauqui but no, Lorca is no where to be seen in the image. What you see is Lácar, a tiny village just slightly North of Lorca. Well done!

    In the way to Estella

Taken a couple of days ago, can any one guess the precise location of this section of the Frances? Hint: it's heading into Estella, but I won't say how many kms before that town it is...

Help identifying mysterious letters on a door knocker in Cirauqui

Hi all... so really, really... you guys never got a reply from him? Anyway... these days he has an exhibition of his work in his home, plus he published a book. It's mentioned in his website https://antonio-laita7.webnode.es/, plus I also saw it published in the local newspaper some days ago...

    Pamplona to Uterga

On their website there doesn't seem to exist an online booking tool, so maybe send them an email or call them, I guess.

    Pamplona to Uterga

Hi there! Sorry, I don't get your question then... you want to know if there is a place to stay... in C. Menor, or in Uterga? In Cizur Menor the Albergue de la Orden de Malta is open and will still be open in September. In Uterga you can choose between both Casa Baztan or Camino del Perdon, in...

    Pamplona to Uterga

And just to update about this year with Albergue San Andres in Zariquiegui: it is open again after having remained closed during 2020, 2021 and 2022.

    Pamplona to Uterga

I didn't know for sure about the two places in Muruzabal but it makes sense that neither of them are open, as I have not seen a single stamp of them during this year (or last year either); Roncal in Cizur Menor is definitely closed, probably for good. BTW what would be "irun to uterga" route?

    RETHINK walking the Frances

Ok. I'm in the area since late 2018 and I don't think that bar has been there since that time, so it must have gone during 2018 or earlier (not covid related). Thanks for making that clear!

    RETHINK walking the Frances

Sorry but can you make clear here which bar was there between Cirauqui and Lorca that is now gone? I don't think there has ever been such a bar in that stretch of Camino so just wanting to make sure you are not mixing it up with another place... Thanks!

    RETHINK walking the Frances

Hi all. I have been asked to share my experience as a hospitalero in the Navarra section of the Camino; sorry if I keep it short, but I am pretty exhausted after a 12 hour work day... and it's not like I expect it to be different any day soon, so I may as well write today... I have not read the...

Longest sections of Camino Frances without facilities

Another long bit with no services is from Villamayor de Monjardin to Los Arcos, in Navarra: 12km with no bars, villages, toilets or any kind of service; during some months of the year a food truck can be found some where in that stretch, though I don't know the exact place.
