What did you bring on the Camino that you wound up not using?

Fear was a factor for me then. I did make it . I was in good shape but I did still get monster blisters so less with keen hiking back closed sandals.(need orthodics) . Wore those exclusively even tho carried tennis shoes. But even the keens need to be broken in prior. (Socks used)

What did you bring on the Camino that you wound up not using?

I think a light weight sleeping bag and or rei sleep liner is essential for all albuergues where the floor is the surface. Plus it is your own stuff- known bacterium.

    Siena to Rome in December/January?

In Bolsena, you can stay with Sabrina in the converted nunnery at the very top of the hill On the same street that is in front of Santa Cristina's church. If you are looking at the church, go to the left. The view from there is fabulous, all of the lake plus individual sparse but adequate rooms...

If you haven't heard about the film/book "I'll Push You"..

I'm going to the Vallejo showing 11/2 I truly think that this film could go all the way to win documentary at the oscars. I am hoping the filmmakers are at the showing so that I can ask them to show it in the Northbay where many Camino pilgrims reside.

    Fire at Triacastela

Please, be careful. You can take a bus or taxi to Samos and stay at the stark but beautiful Refugio with the monks whose name escapes me at this moment.

I am sorry this happened to you. Never keep your total € in one place. Your passport can be laminated and copied and kept with you, in an alternate pocket. I covered mine in a religious card.
