Online resources for accommodation on Via Gebennensis?

I used the yellow guide in soft book cover in ‘22 and ‘23 with success. I loved this route as you get to stay in people’s homes. Most offer demi- pension. You obviously need to call a day or two in advance to reserve.

Dear Ballyroebuck, Like that name! Do you have an itinerary that you would be willing to share? Plan on doing this route in May ‘24. Don’t have quite as much time as you did but I am sure that can be adjusted. Also do you have your list of lodging and mileage? Suzanne

Bad experience with Orange International Travel phone plans

I have a French Orange Holiday Zen E-sim which I purchased in the US before my trip and activated upon arrival. I also registered my passport with them prior to departure. My only issue was I could not call Spain from France without incurring an extra charge. It worked fine once I was in Spain...

    Public transportation

Dear B squared, I don't remember having those long days on the Le Puy (in 2018), but having walked the Arles route this spring in France , with some planning I was able to take a taxi twice and a bus once to shorten 30km days. Planning is the key, just don't show up in said village and expect...

Accommodation options along the Via Gebennensis pilgrimage route from Geneva in 2021

We did do the Genève to Le Puy over 2 years as last year came down with Covid half way. I highly recommend it, its better if you speak French as I found the home stay people didn't speak much English, or maybe I never tried to speak English with them. I think you could use the current yellow...
