How much weight did you actually carry?

I will walk september/October with a FSO of 7.5 kg included (1.5 liter) water and food. I'm quite happy with it even though its 2.5 kilos more than 10% my bodyweight. I had a look at a BMI calculator and checked my BMI with and without everything I will bring. Even with those extra kilos I'm...

Please help my girly soft feet man up

Many good points here.. Do a few short ones with the new shoes, then aim for longer ones is not a bad idea.. Guess I'm just too excited! Maybe if I ever go for another camino I will plan it better.. Just decided to do the camino since a month ago :p

Please help my girly soft feet man up

Thanks for all good advice every one! Will probably have to try them out a few more times before I leave for the camino 20. September.. If they don't work they don't.. I hope they will tho! Crossing my fingers that these are just "breaking in" blisters

Please help my girly soft feet man up

They are non goretex. Tried out this trick I read about wearing thin lady socks under the hiking socks to prevent blisters. Got one blister on my heel, one in my left arch and 3 tiny ones on the right arch. I think my arch is just a little bit high, and got these shoes for that reason that...

And the hiking socks I will be wearing for the camino.. Got home with 5 blisters and sore feet. Not cool! Is this normal when you break your shoes in...

Did you bring a sleeping pad?

Many good answers to this thanks guys :) Will probably cut a small piece of the pad for just a little thing to sit on! Hehe better safe than sorry  If one day I realise I don't need it I'll just leave it behind

Did you bring a sleeping pad?

I'm considering to take mine. As a first time pilgrim I don't really know what to expect from the camino or myself.. Will there be a lot of places to stop and sit down/ stretch your legs on the way between the Albergues? If not a matt would be great.. Or at least a sitting matt.. Not sure about...
