Kat,
My wife and I ( both in our 70's ) did the Camino Portugese last September- October and are now planning to walk about 1/2 of Shikoku 88 in April. The Portuguese was lovely and made more so because we used the backpack transfer services and so never had to
carry our packs .....and...
It's Monday September 5 2016 and we are in Cahmina wanting to cross to A Guarda tomorrow; but can't find anything on line about the schedule , low water delays or how to purchase tickets.....also how to find Mario at the head of the bridge ( which bridge? ) can anyone help ?
Thanks
Jon
we're in our mid 70's and have made nightly hotel reservations from Portoto Fisterra/ Finesterre and will have our packs transported for us.
We start from Porto tomorrow to Vila do Conde along the coast.... Should we bring our collapsible poles for the day ?
Fueling Along the Way ? As a road biker, I've used 100 calorie GU gels once per hour, for years. Are energy bars available on the road ? Or, will nuts and berries and chocolate supply the same regular infusion of energy / calories ?

" Be Here Now " .....OOOmmmm...... We're committed to the Camino da Costa ( despite its "millions of cobbles" ).....that said; if you've done the Camino Frances, and were to compare the walking surfaces between CF and CdC would you say that CdC is 10 % harder, 25% , 50% ? than CF ?

If you do email your step by step maps to Daiva, would it be possible for you send it to me as well ? If so, my email address is < jgregg@vermontstudiocenter >

Jeff,
Methinks you're " sort of correct". I'm a new member having trouble knowing how to post a question and so having somehow lucked into posting a question about Hostels and Alberques I posted the cobblestones question. If you can direct me to posting instructions ( forDummies ) I'd appreciate...
Thanks Mel,
As we're starting in Porto I wonder, in terms of road surface, if the section from Porto to SdC might be better than the one from Lisbon to Porto and also if you have knowledge of the roads from SdC to Finesterre ?
When you say you " followed the caminador.es map and it took me...
We're walking the Portugese Costal Camino and to Finesterre during September. We were planning on wearing good hiking shoes, but a Forum member said there were a lot of rough uneven cobblestones
( enough so she wouldn't walk the CP again ) and narrow roads with no shoulders and scary drivers...
Footwear on the Camino da Costa and Senda Littoral?
We're walking the CdC in September with packs that will be 15lbs or less ( depending on the answer to this question) : Are high caliber hiking shoes sufficient on the Coastal route or would those of you have done it recommend boots ?
Thanks in...
Suzanne
In the Most Popular Resources, I only see a PDF for Alberques on the Camino Frances, can you tell me where I can find the list for the Camino Frances ?
Thanks
Jon
We're doing the Camino da Costa in September, does anyone have / know of the kinds of Alberques/ Hotels PDF's / guides that seem to exist for the Camino Frances ? If so we would love to know how to access them

BCR. Could you post your email so we can contact you for your step by step guide to the CP ....we're going in September ands would love to benefit from your experience.
Are you allowed to take collapsible hiking poles attached to a 35 liter pack on board as a carry on, or are they seen as security threats, and how about a Swiss Army Knife ?
